Job Description:

 

     -  Ensure all work planned complies with Federal/State regulations and KUC Policies and Standards.

     -  Provide safety information, job instructions, materials, special tools, and drawings as required.

     -  Maintain the CMMS Equipment Register for all plant/area equipment.

     -  Categorize resourced work and prioritize work orders within CMMS.

     -  Coordinate with Maintenance Engineers on Equipment Downtime Summary Report.

     -  Maintain and assist in developing standard jobs.

     -  Develop and maintain standard job Application Parts Lists (APLs) for multiple areas.

     -  Identify man-hours required and available for planned-work activities.

     -  Coordinate material and component deliveries and arrange for any special tools, equipment,

        drawings, and other needs prior to commencement of scheduled jobs.

     -  Provide maintenance and plant equipment performance reports as required.

     -  Review maintenance backlog and identify work to accomplish in order to establish priorities.

     -  Validate procedures, identification of materials, crafts, and man-hours required.

 

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements: 

 

     -  B.S. Degree in engineering or a related field - preferred (Related work experience and education

        considered in lieu of four-year degree)

     -  Knowledge of heavy mobile equipment maintenance - preferred

     -  Excellent communication skills, both oral and written - required

     -  Demonstrated safety conscious approach to work

     -  Proven ability to operate independently and in small multi-discipline teams

•	Work with Field Operations and SM to identify regional vendor support needs, and to ensure that all maintenance and supply agreements are properly managed. Assess technical competency of contractors and service providers.

•	Work with P&amp;amp;DM team and use the CMMS system to manage maintenance activities and to analyze equipment reliability data in order to determine gaps, set appropriate KPI’s, and to drive improvement in the areas of greatest impact. 

•	Implement and support regional training initiatives and develop/deliver local training materials 

•	Represent the regions reliability interests as BU owner’s machinery engineer in the proposal and commercialization process, including scope/spares decisions, installation, commissioning and new plant acceptance

•	Actively participate in cross BU ME peer team interaction, contribute, lend support when needed, and benchmark performance of mechanical equipment and systems both internally and externally. Apply best business practice to the GBU and other regional business units to advance machinery reliability on a global basis.

•	Support local and global geographies on emergent rotating equipment issues and catastrophic failures.&amp;nbsp; Able to work independently without support of OEM’s.

•	Draft reliability and maintenance procedures for IMSS publication; review and approve the application of local mechanical equipment/systems PM’s, work instructions.

•	Supervise the rectification of failed equipment including determination of root cause failure, key decision making for correction and actions regarding other like equipment in the BU as indicated. Provide mechanical design contacts as needed for failure analysis and any needed mechanical design analysis or redesign. Participate in failure analysis reporting.

•	Develop programs and methods to ensure that machinery is operated at optimum efficiency.&amp;nbsp; Work with the Plant Engineering Team, Remote Operations Center, and others to deliver savings as indicated.

•	In conjunction with maintenance planner, implement techniques to determine state of mechanical equipment and operations at individual sites. Ensure through condition review that any gaps found are appropriately addressed, needed inspections scheduled.

•	Participate in expert user panels and maintain network of industry best practice and service providers.&amp;nbsp; Stay abreast of latest equipment design, monitoring, and service trends to determine opportunities verse the existing machinery portfolio.&amp;nbsp; Provide business case justification and engineering solutions for such changes. Translate network knowledge into local application.

•	Develop and implement audit tools and techniques to determine state of mechanical equipment and operations at individual sites.&amp;nbsp; Ensure that any gaps found are appropriately actioned and followed up on to conclusion. 





Requirements/Education


•	Minimum 15 years experience (at least five years in an operation environment) with specific expertise in general mechanical systems, such as rotating equipment, pumps, turbines, and compressors, reciprocating compressors and associated auxiliary equipment, refrigeration systems, steam systems, heat exchangers, and adsorption systems/dryers.&amp;nbsp; General expertise required in gas or steam driven power generation equipment including HRSG, related control systems and electrical interfaces.


•	Mechanical engineering degree required.&amp;nbsp; Professional qualifications and licensing preferred.&amp;nbsp; 


•	Strong analytical, quantitative, leadership and influencing skills


•	Ability to work as a team leader, team member, or independent contributor


•	Excellent reasoning skills with ability to analyze and interpret technical information

•	Experience in development and review of engineering standards

•	Direct experience with large centrifugal compressors up to 25 MW, including their control and protection systems.

•	Knowledge of internal and relevant industry standards

•	Ability to reason complex technical issues independently or with other support


•	In depth-knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance techniques including the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to manage these processes


•	Understanding of thermodynamics, aerodynamics, vibration analysis, machine dynamics, manufacturing methods

Position Description:

 

The Maintenance Advisor leads improvement initiatives targeting leading practice work management in the operations/maintenance work cycles at all Kennecott sites, facilitating effective, productive and efficient operations. The role has significant collaborative aspects that require relationship building with and amongst Asset Management professionals and managers across Kennecott, at other Rio Tinto business units and with Rio Tinto Technology and Innovation Asset Integrity. Continually consult with Rio Tinto Technology and Innovation to identify collaborative opportunities

Identify and work with proper outside subject matter experts when needed

Assist in identifying value opportunities, making presentations / proposals addressing quality

Coach team members and support improving organization competence levels generally

Consult with teams of Asset Management professionals and assists with improvement initiatives

Assist sites in program, system, and tool selection to improve work management and value creation

Maintain awareness of all improvement activities and ensure proper integration and cooperation with the other initiatives











Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:

An engineering degree is desirable (not required).&amp;nbsp; Mechanical, Electrical, and Reliability Engineers are typical.&amp;nbsp; 

Experienced Chemical, Metallurgical, etc. engineers will be considered

Extensive technical knowledge/experience (6 - 12 years) in Asset Management positions 

Experience with complex problem identification, solution development and action implementation. 

Experience in advancing modern asset management philosophies / programs

Certification for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (CMRP) as given by the Society of

Maintenance &amp;amp; Reliability Professionals is viewed favorably

Experience with work management, preventive maintenance, condition based / predictive

maintenance (vibration, tribology, infrared, ultrasonics, etc.), business improvement techniques

(Lean / Six Sigma),

Strong skills in the areas of leadership, team management, and change management/stakeholder

management

      <description>Allied Reliability is seeking candidates for the Program Manager position located at the Cargill Corn Milling facililty in Eddyville, Iowa. 


 




This position is responsible for providing communication between the company, clients, and employees.&amp;nbsp; The Program Manager coordinates activities and schedules work as needed as well as prepares the necessary reports and audits required. The Program Manager will be accountable for the overall safety of the work environment for the crew, including ensuring compliance with Allied, client, OSHA, and other applicable standards, as well as oversight of the Behavioral Based Safety Observations.&amp;nbsp; 


 




Requirements include:


CMRP certification or certification obtained within the first year. 

Knowledge of machinery fundamentals, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, etc. 

Detailed knowledge of general mechanical fundamentals, such as fits and tolerances. 

Strong understanding of electro-mechanical fundamentals, as well as predictive and preventative maintenance tools. 

Working knowledge of routine and advanced data acquisition techniques. 

Knowledge in spectral, time waveform and phase analysis. 

Working knowledge of other condition monitoring technologies, including oil analysis, thermography, motor current analysis and ultrasonics, and their integration with vibration analysis. 

Four or more years of directly related supervisory experience
