Raytek’s ThermoView Ti30 thermal imager is the only infrared imaging camera to support thermography inspection routing, a key component of an effective predictive and preventative maintenance strategy. Routing is perfect for periodic checks of critical equipment, and for verifying repairs.
How routing works:
With the ThermoView Ti30, users can combine images taken on a planned inspection route with location names and temperature data, and upload them to the system for use as a “routing guide.” Each time the inspection is performed, the display prompts the user exactly where to take images, helping improve accuracy. New images can easily be compared to previous scans of the same equipment using the Ti30’s InsideIR software, helping identify potential problems before they cause failure.
Software enables analysis:
The ThermoView Ti30 allows 100 thermal images to be collected during an inspection route and downloaded to a PC. Users can adjust palette, temperature level and span settings in the camera during an inspection and/or in the computer upon route completion—eliminating time consuming re-scans. The file of images and data can be e-mailed to other ThermoView Ti30 users, who can also make any desired image adjustments—so information sharing and cross-checking is easy.

A culmination of 15 years of research, teaching, and consulting, this book shares the best practices, mistakes, victories, and essential steps for success which the author has gleaned from working with countless organizations. Unlike other books that only focus on the engineering issues (task lists) or management issues (CMMS), this in-depth resource is the first to give true emphasize to the four aspects of success in preventive maintenance systems--engineering, management, economic, and psychological -- thereby enabling readers to have a balanced view and understanding of what is happening in their organizations. Additionally, it blends concrete actionable steps and structures with the theory behind the steps.
• Includes check sheets, history of PM, stories, photographs, and case histories.

The SWiNS (Smart Wireless Network Sensor) system from SEC of America makes acquisition of vibration data safe, quick, and cost-effective by pulling the plug on wired installations. Now you can monitor your machinery at whatever interval you choose without the back-breaking chore of manual data collection or the budget-breaking expense of running wiring and conduit to install a hard-wired system. SWiNS is simple to install and set up making it ideal for both permanent installations and for short-term analysis of pesky machine problems. Regardless of how you deploy SWiNS the data it provides will become indispensable for you and keep you a step ahead of incipient machinery problems. Waveform and spectral data can be viewed with the SWiNS software, or SWiNS can create a file to be imported into many of the popular Condition-based Maintenance (CbM) software packages or other programs such as Microsoft Excel.
The SWiNS system consists of a network of wireless sensors, or nodes, and a base unit that is connected to a PC. The nodes are available in two varieties:
1.) an integrated 1-piece sensor/transmitter unit very similar in size and shape to standard piezoelectric accelerometers; and
2.) a 2-piece unit that enables the sensor to be mounted in a harsh or RF-intolerant area while connecting to an external transmitter/antenna via an integral cable. The base units communicate to the PC by USB, Ethernet, or RS-232.
Each SWiNS node operates as a transceiver and communicates with other sensors in its vicinity. This unique self-networking design ensures consistent, reliable data by constantly checking the network for the best signal transmission path back to the base unit. This design also enables data transmission over virtually any distance, as each node works as a repeater to the next node.
By preventing the downtime, lost revenue, and repair costs associated with a single unexpected failure you would more than pay for the cost of a typical SWiNS system. So why risk costly machine problems when today’s technology makes it easier than ever to keep your rotating equipment running in top form.
