Got Sour Oil?

Seal oil leakage and the continuing problem of sour oil disposal can be a maintenance nightmare. Improved seal designs are the solution to this challenge. However, until that machine comes down at turnaround, an oil purifier that can degas will save you major dollars by eliminating new oil purchases, sour oil disposal, and handling hazardous gas ladened oil.

Keep the oil in the tank and send the gases to the flare…it’s that simple!

The high performance of the ThermoJet Oil Purifier with compressor seal oil systems has been proven in numerous applications. A large gulf coast refinery experienced hydrogen contaminated seal oil leakage at 300 gallons per day. Prior to the installation of the ThermoJet, this reservoir was continually having fresh oil added and contaminated oil drained, so as to maintain a safe flash point. Cost for this operation was over $1500 per day and that did not include the disposal cost of the contaminated seal oil

With the installation of the ThermoJet, oil usage has plummeted, the flash point has stabilized and the hydrogen gas is being safely disposed into the flare system.
