Non-contact Speed Sensor
Synchronous time averaging, balancing, bearing defect analysis and advanced vibration analysis all start with accurate speed measurements. Monarch Instrument announces the Smart Laser Sensor, a non-contact speed sensor providing a TTL pulse output. The SLS is ideal for vibration data collection, portable balancing or data acquisition. The range is 65-feet using a visible laser sensor and is perfect for non-contact speed measurements where equipment cannot be stopped. The "smart" auto gain feature can provide the best performance off contrasting colors like papermaking felts or rotating equipment, even in difficult environments. The Smart Laser Sensor is self-powered with a re-chargeable internal battery and is offered in a compact package designed to be hand-held or tripod mounted.
