Position overview:
Supervise and schedule work of the mechanical craftsman, reliability and root cause facilitation, and provide leadership to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the production assets by implementing and supporting a BU wide Maintenance and Reliability program.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Directly supervise the maintenance crew being responsible for their performance and accountability. 60%
2. Prepare the maintenance schedules within the Maintenance and Reliability guidelines, meeting with plant supervision to make sure priorities meet the proactive maintenance schedules. 10%
3. Support the Maintenance Manager to ensure that the maintenance budget is maintained. 5%
4. Work with the Maintenance Manager, Planner and Clerk to make sure the proper parts are available to work within the Maintenance and Reliability guidelines. 10%
5. Safety training and awareness for the maintenance crew. 10%
6. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. 5%
Required:
4 year degree in engineering / technical discipline OR 4 years equivalent experience in maintenance and reliability
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in PDM and PM technology.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Lazer Alignment technology.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Maximo or other CMMS.
Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated communication skills (verbal and written).
Demonstrated organization/prioritization skills.
Demonstrated ability to deliver results with the appropriate behaviors.
Demonstrated ability to generate innovative/creative ideas and move them into implementation.
Preferred
Documented training in Maintenance and Reliability (CMRP certification preferred).

Specific training and experience in one of the following PdM areas: Vibration analysis (CSI), thermography, oil analysis, motor current signature analysis, partial discharge testing, flux probe, FOVM, ultrasonic emission detection or other PdM techniques. Experience with machine design relate to commercial power plant components and interests in the area of machinery monitoring using data collecting and analysis applications. Excellent technical aptitude for components and programs desired. Computer competent in MS Office applications is a requirement. Knowledgeable of applicable codes and industry standards a plus.
