Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. We are looking for a highly motivated senior level vibration engineer with the creativity and experience to solve vibration issues with a focus on rotating machinery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dynamic analysis, vibration testing and analysis techniques, data interpretation, and root cause evaluation. Technical innovation and practical problem-solving skills are highly desired. The position will be located in Centennial (Denver), Colorado.


Duties & Responsibilities:

 Design and execute high channel count vibration tests and process and interpret the data
 Make recommendations for successfully solving vibration problems and perform follow up testing
 Manage small to medium vibration analysis projects
 Coordinate and expedite performance of project team
 Interface with clients
 Build and analyze finite element models using ANSYS
 Help develop significant business associated with vibration testing and analysis of rotating machinery, including:
o Steam turbines, gas turbines and hydro turbines
o Centrifugal and reciprocating compressors and associated drivers.
o Pumps, including centrifugal, reciprocating, plunger, rotary and metering pumps.
o Fans, including centrifugal and axial
o All types of gear boxes
o Seal and bearings technology and selection.


Qualifications & Experience:

 Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, but Civil Engineering degree acceptable
 Professional registration preferred
 Proficient in vibration testing and analysis of all types of rotating equipment used in power generation industry, including nuclear, fossil and hydro
 Familiarity with other industries including oil, gas, pharmaceutical or chemical is a plus
 Familiarity with all types of rotating equipment and associated components
 Knowledge and skills associated with Vibration Institute’s Category III or higher certification, or ability to demonstrate skills associated with sensor selection, data acquisition, signal processing, data interpretation and report generation
 Project Management skills

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  A valid California Class C driver license –AND- for ASSET MANAGEMENT TECHNICIAN I:  Two years of work experience in a journey-level, post apprenticeship, skilled trade or senior-level classification which involved maintaining, repairing or installing capital assets such as plant or heavy equipment supplemented by work experience using computer database software.  Work experience administering a database/data management system which included maintenance, or quantitative data may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis; for ASSET MANAGEMENT TECHNICIAN II:  Two years of experience in the County Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County performing the duties of an Asset Management Technician I –OR- Four years of work experience in a journey-level, post apprenticeship, skilled trade or lead-level classification which involved maintaining, repairing or installing capital assets such as plant or heavy equipment supplemented by work experience with a wide variety of computer hardware and software; experience administering a database/data management system which included maintaining quantitative data may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
