Direct coaching and supervision of internal/external crafts persons in the maintenance department.  Oversee the daily execution of all maintenance activities. Lead the advanced scheduling function for the facility. Coordinate the daily execution of the schedule with the other professional disciplines within the facility.

Principal Accountabilities:

25% Supervision and coaching of maintenance craftsperson’s and contractors, annual reviews and job skill enhancement training program
15% Direct supervision of maintenance worktypes through management and execution of work flow system. Coordination and planning of scheduled and unscheduled work activities with production, including budget management.
10% Analysis of equipment and process failures and through cause mapping - cause analysis and RCM Analysis, i.e. conveyors, pneumatics, drives, hydraulics, etc.
10% Effective execution and implementation of job plans, capital projects and commissioning new equipment
10% Lead and implement advanced scheduling functions and R&M purchasing
10% Complete all Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities
5% Oversee operation of wastewater facility and all utilities
5% Daily management of the CMMS related to core job function

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline OR five years equivalent maintenance experience.
• Minimum three years maintenance management, engineering, or production management
• Ability to develop and manage good working relationships with internal departments (production, sales, logistics, accounting), contractors, suppliers, inspectors and customers
• Ability to take off-hour calls and rotate on call accountability with facility staff as needed
• Ability to apply Cargill’s policies and procedures in the areas of safety and environmental
• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude

Preferred:

• SMRP CMRP certification
• Working knowledge of predictive maintenance technology (vibration, oil, infrared, ultrasonic analysis, etc.)
• Ability to work with a wide variety of workstyles including customers and co-workers at all levels
• Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Access, Project, CMMS, Maximo)
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to speak candidly and provide constructive feedback
• Supply procurement, budget preparation, scheduling experience
• Working knowledge of production equipment
• Ability to make independent decisions
• Working knowledge of Maximo or other asset accounting system
