October 27, 2007   Kittiwake Expands with the Formation of Kittiwake Americas

Condition Monitoring International, LLC (CMI) managing partner, Jack Poley, announced the formation of Kittiwake, Inc. (dba “Kittiwake Americas”), a U.S.-based joint-venture between CMI and Kittiwake Developments, Ltd, for the North American distribution of Kittiwake products in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The Kittiwake product line includes: real-time oil, moisture, particle and ferrous debris sensors; bench-top lab instrumentation; and Oil Test Centers, Kits and Solutions for on-site testing of fuels and lubes.

Poley also announced that Keith Macaluso, formerly with Lubrication Systems Company, has been appointed as Director of Operations, based in Houston, TX.

October 24, 2007   Zinifex chooses ARMS Reliability Engineers as Reliability Improvement Partner

In April 2007 Zinifex embarked on a Reliability Improvement Program and engaged ARMS Reliability Engineers to be their consulting and support partner throughout the process.  ARMS Reliability Engineers partner with Zinifex to oversee and facilitatie reliability improvement programs for the two Australian mines.  ARMS have also been helping the smelting and processing facilities which are now owned by Nyrstar.

The main focus for the reliability engineering initiative is to realise benefits through facilitating analysis, supporting implementation and concurrently building site capability in the reliability engineering aspects of asset management.  ARMS are helping Zinifex to do this by conducting site awareness and readiness sessions, undertaking criticality studies, building FMEA’s for critical equipment items and groups, and optimising and developing maintenance strategies. ARMS Reliability Engineers are delivering training in reliability methods such as root cause analysis and reliability centered maintenance and finally developing implementation plans and monitoring the progress of the initiative.

October 5, 2007, Depew, NY, USA – PCB Piezotronics (PCB) has introduced Model 357A19, a very miniature charge output accelerometer, designed for performing shock and vibration studies in space-restricted locations and on small, lightweight structures. October 11, 2007   Dynamics Research Corporation Receives Air Force RCM Contract

ANDOVER, Mass.,—Dynamics Research Corporation today announced that it was awarded $1.34 million in task orders and modifications under the Air Force’s Design and Engineering Support Program (DESP II) contract. The latest task order, valued at $928,000, marks the company’s tenth task order under DESP II and was awarded through the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center at Tinker Air Force Base to support the B-52 aircraft weapon system.
